Tattoo Aftercare

A fresh tattoo requires proper care.

Aftercare

The artist will provide you with detailed instructions after the session. If you have any questions or concerns β€” please contact us.

With Protective Film

After the session, the artist will apply a special protective film. It simplifies the healing process because the fluid released from the skin does not dry out. This fluid contains lymphocytes and helps the tattoo heal faster.

During healing:

  • Do not remove the film for 3–5 days (the exact duration will be specified by the artist)
  • Fluid may appear under the film β€” this is normal (lymph is released and a small amount of pigment may come out)
  • You may take quick showers, but without hot water and without rubbing
  • Do not wear tight clothing β€” the skin needs to breathe

DO NOT BREAK THE SEAL OF THE FILM. IT MUST REMAIN AIRTIGHT TO PREVENT BACTERIA FROM ENTERING THE FRESH TATTOO AND CAUSING INFLAMMATION.

Removing the film:

  • Remove it under warm running water
  • Wash the tattoo with water and mild antibacterial soap
  • Gently pat dry with a paper towel (do not rub)

After removing the film:

  • Apply a thin layer of healing cream 4–5 times a day
  • Peeling and itching are normal β€” do not scratch or peel the skin

Without Film

If the tattoo heals without a protective film, it is especially important to maintain cleanliness and regular care.

First days after the session:

In the first days after the session, it is necessary to use compresses made from a baby changing pad. The compress helps protect the tattoo and reduce fluid discharge. Compresses should be used until the tattoo begins to peel.

Washing:

Before each application of healing cream, the tattoo must be washed with cool water and mild antibacterial soap. Washing should be done until peeling begins. After washing, gently pat the tattoo dry with a disposable paper towel and only then apply a thin layer of cream.

Moisturizing:

Apply the cream 3–5 times a day in a thin layer, avoiding both drying out and over-moisturizing the skin.

After peeling begins:

Once peeling starts, the tattoo no longer needs to be washed before every cream application β€” it is enough to keep the skin clean and moisturized regularly.

What to Avoid

Sunbathing and tanning beds
Swimming in pools, the sea, or lakes (do not soak the tattoo)
Saunas and steam baths
Scratching or peeling the skin
Sports and intense physical activity
Tight or synthetic clothing

Follow these restrictions for 4 weeks

Proper aftercare is the key to good healing, sharp lines, and rich colors.
